Which door?
This will be quick because I have an early start and a busy day ahead.
My devotions included reading from John 16-18, so my prayer time was fueled from Jesus’ prayers for Himself, His disciples, and for us who believe now.
As I prayed, God gave me a picture of a long hallway with many doors. This is an image we often have of what life is. There are many choices and we pray for God to show us the right ones.
But then God replaced that image with a different one; one that I saw during the Bible Study at church on Wednesday night from the Circle Maker. It was a painting based on the passage of Scripture from Revelation 3: 20
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with Him and he with Me.”
So often I pray for God to open the right doors for us.
This morning, I pray we are opening the right door for Him.
God bless you this weekend. May your ears be attentive, your heart open and your life obedient to the Voice of your Shepherd!
