Wednesday RaNdOmS <3

Before I start with the randoms, thank you to everyone who added comments or thoughts about Gay after yesterday’s post. I did share your comments only because I wanted to prove my point to anyone who didn’t have the joy of knowing her. She was so well-loved and so we will remember her well.

Now for the randoms…

Here we go friends, in no particular order…

Random #1

We woke up this morning to a brisk 56 degrees. Inside. 

Yes, it appears our furnace is not doing what it is supposed to do and thus we have reverted to Little House on the Prairie mode. 

The funny part is, and yes, there is a funny part; I am acting like none of our appliances work since the furnace doesn’t. 

It appears my blonde brain can’t process that this is not a power outage issue. 

So the washer is humming and the dishwasher is swishing and Pa is going to put some more wood in the fire…kidding…it’s gas. 

Random #2

Just for the record, I will still refer to the body of water that washes up along our beloved Emerald Coast the Gulf of Mexico. 

Don’t rake me over the coals with any of your history lessons. 

I also still claim Pluto as a planet. 

I learned this stuff in grade school and it’s stuck. So you can change all the maps and give me all the reasons. It is what it is and I stand where I stand. 

Random #3

I realized on Monday that we won’t be seeing the Band of Brothers and Miss Caroline for Valentine’s Day. 

I am going to need a moment.

So on Monday I whipped up some treats and threw up a prayer that TJ Maxx would have something for everyone. 

They did. 

Hallelujah!

The check out guy didn’t ask me if I had found everything like the associates usually do. 

So I told him that I just wanted him to know that I found exactly the right thing for everyone and it was an answer to prayer. 

He blinked a couple of times and asked me if I wanted to open a TJ Maxx Credit card and save 15%. 

Nope. But at least you are consistent about that question.

Random #4

I don’t know if you have seen the crock pot recipes on social media that involve pork chops, cream of chicken soup and a packet of Ranch dressing mix. If you haven’t, it is worth a google search. 

Just type in those main ingredients and add “crock pot” and you will hit a gold mine. 

We tried them recently and they measure up to the hype. I highly recommend a batch of mashed potatoes, veggies and a salad and you have a perfect meal. 

Delicious. 

Random #5

We are supposed to get a big snow today. 

So far it is just gray and cold. 

Waiting for a forecasted winter situation is probably one of the most stressful parts of this season.
