Thursday Randoms <3
Thursday Randoms – since we did the monthly book review on Wednesday…we will be random today <3
Random #1
On my perpetual desk calendar, the quote for yesterday could be the theme song for the Journey Onward site.
“You are a pilgrim with needs to be met and people to minister to along the way. In Jesus, your future is secure and your destiny certain. Today is the time to bring before Him all those who, like you, are in need of hope and encouragement on their journey home.”

This is truly the heart behind what I do here throughout the week. I know that as I walk through the daily steps of my own Journey, I am constantly needing to be encouraged and renewed in my hope that goes beyond this life.
As the Lord provides me both of these, I call out to you, my fellow sojourners. What a beautiful picture of us walking along together, sometimes sharing a portion of the road for a season, sometimes looking back and remembering others who are no longer with us.
I am thankful for each of you <3

Someone recommended a program on PBS to me and it has been so good, I am sharing with you. It is an exercise program, but don’t turn away yet. Stay with me!
The deterioration in my spine and knee joint have caused me to experience a lot of stiffness. A friend was sharing with me about how much it was helping her with this same physical dilemma and she though of me.
“Classical Stretch” is led by a former ballerina, Miranda Esmonde-White. It is show most days of the week at 5:30 am – and the beauty of our modern internet TV is I can record these and do them at a more friendly hour.
If you fast forward the introduction, the exercises only take 20 minutes. I fast forward the end as well. They are very good and I definitely have experienced some freedom from aches and pains in my back and neck.

I bought a pansy and put out on the back patio to replace some of the dead summer flowers.
The other morning I went out to put seed in the feeder and the poor thing was frozen solid.
This morning it looks like this.
Be a pansy.
Don’t let the cold get you.
Embrace warmth and hang in there <3

It’s soup season, and I am so happy. Soup is a perfect food as it is warm and comforting, you can make a batch and have for several days of lunches and it is pretty healthy depending on what you make.
Last night I tried a new chicken soup recipe where the author suggested using a “paste” of mushrooms. You basically throw mushrooms and some water in the Ninja or whatever juicer type blender you have and whirl it a bit.
I have to say it added a rich flavor to the broth and there were no complaints.

We bundled up yesterday and took two different walks.
The leaves are still so pretty and the fresh air does us so much good.
One of the outtakes for me of Covid was to be outside more. I used to be a fair-weather outdoors person.
I had about a ten degree tolerance for being acceptable for enjoying the great outdoors. About 70-80, no or low humidity and nothing more than a light breeze.
Now I find myself venturing out for walks or sitting on patios in all the extremes. As long as I am dressed appropriately to weather the weather, I am okay.
Well, that’s it for today!
Have a good one <3
