The wind, it doth blow <3

It’s a blustery day, Pooh, as Piglet would say.

While I always say how much I love the Midwest, I must admit I am not a fan of everything that goes along with life here.

The infernal and ever present winds when they do not play nice are a downside to the prairie.

Nothing to stop them, they can blow hard across the landscape in certain seasons.

And on days like today, with a hint of humidity in the air, my efforts to coif my thin strands and add body were defeated with the walk from the car to the store.

All day, the wind will blow the door open ever so slightly making me think someone is coming in.

I have noticed people standing out in the narrow street that passes our door with brooms and cameras and perplexed faces in the last little bit.

The wind has torn down the charming lights that zig zag down Merchant Street and make it a lovely sight at night.

I don’t know who will have to figure out the mess. It isn’t me, thankfully. It is an expensive loss of such charming lights.

As for me, I just have to hope that a fresh spritz of spray will resurrect this mess on my head and get me through the next few hours of customers and dinner with my fella later.

That’s all I have for you, off the top of my head….(grin inserted)

Have a beautiful weekend and when we return, it will be time for a February Book Review as we March into a new month <3
