Randoms…s’no(w) joke…
Feeling like some randoms, so let’s go….
Random #1
It’s snowing.
And it has been incredibly cold.
But it is also January and to be expected.
Last night we went to watch the local high school girls play basketball against a rival school a few miles up the pike.
As we crossed the parking lot, Russ commented about how it was much warmer than the previous night when we had trekked home from the grands’ house.
I agreed and relished the reprieve from bitter cold.
It was around 25 degrees.
Perspective is everything.
When you have been subzero, 25 is a heat wave.

I was cooking with Caroline recently and needed to find the vanilla in their stash of baking goods.
I said I hoped we had enough and she responded right back that you can never have too much vanilla.
My work here is done, people.
Random #3
In the past week I have been the recipient of kindness from some people.
It is a balm to a weary heart.
There is a lot of hate and negativity running rampant.
Be kind.
You never know the way a soul you are coming in contact with needs a touch of it.

For those who are not on social media and following the recovery of our little friend that I mentioned back a few posts, Charlie is continuing to improve. It is a slow process, but prayers are answered daily.
He has a tracheostomy now to help with breathing and is carefully being removed from meds to bring him to wakefulness.
Your prayers are golden.
Thank you in advance.

We had a conversation with a friend as we were leaving the game last night.
We talked about how important it is to invest in where you live.
There is not a lot we can do to change what is going on in other parts of the country and the world, but we can do a lot of small things right where we live that make life better for others.
I saw a quote from Martin Luther King Jr this week that summed it up:
“If I cannot do great things,
I can do small things in a great way.”
Remember that as you journey onward today.
You are amazing, and dearly loved <3
