Randoms…a day late <3

I didn’t get to sit down with you yesterday. Sometimes the best plan is to set aside anything except the absolute necessities and such was the case. So here we are today, with Thursday Randoms instead of Wednesday.

And it’s okay.

The planet is still rotating and we are eight days away from ending this month.

Eight. Days.

Sigh.

Here we go:

Random #1

We attended the Illini game on Saturday night. In case you missed the memo, they raised Terrance Shannon’s jersey to the rafters.

With a slight glitch.

The banner was rolled upside down. Check it out above the big screen above.

Terrance took it with grace and has even developed an upside down design on a t-shirt to commemorate the event. He is giving the proceeds to the Boys and Girls Club or Champaign.

That’s a great way to handle a glitch.

Random #2

I found these little cups of pomegranate seeds at Sam’s Club.

They are a little over $7 for four servings.

If that sounds steep to you, you have never purchased the crate of pomegranates and tried to seed them yourself.

I know someone who has.

She says it is a small price to pay.

Me. It’s me.

Random #3

Remember the funnels I bought at Magnolia? I finally got to put one to use last night.

So much nicer than dripping oil down the sides of this jar every time I refill.

Random #4

I got to take this one to play after school the other day.

She was so happy.

Not sure how many more visits we have before she is too old and cool for the Children’s Museum, so I will enjoy every second I can.

Random #5

I am learning as I work with Middle School/High School students how draining it is when we have a bad attitude.

This is not age specific.

A less than cheerful countenance can suck the very life out of the souls around us.

Not saying we have to be uber peppy all the time, but I am realizing how my facials and moods can have a powerful impact on those who are trying to help me.

Prayerfully asking God to help me do better <3
