Monday <3

Hello friends…and welcome to Monday.

I have to scoot out the door pretty quickly here, but I had a couple of people mention not hearing from me for a week so I am aware there are a few who stop by each day and I want to show up for you. 

I referenced something in my post last week about a tragedy in our community. It is very public, so for those who are not local I will give you a very short explanation and just ask you to pray. 

A week ago Sunday we had gotten a nice snow fall. Many people were out taking advantage of what could prove to be our only snow of the year. For two families, the worst case scenario happened and the tube their little boys were riding in snapped a different direction than intended. 

There were life-threatening injuries resulting in one boy pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital and one fighting for his life this past week. The little one who has been under constant medical care did wiggle his toes yesterday. Sadly, the funeral for the other little boy is today. 

I know you will pray, even though you don’t know them. As they come to mind in the days ahead, please pray as God would lead you. Your prayers avail much. 

I am praying for your hearts as you read this and as you pick up the burden for so much pain and grief. I pray God’s grace and mercy to give us wisdom on how we can intercede for the many lives affected and for healing for everyone.

I will update you as I hear about Charlie, the little one who is facing a long road of recovery. 

I will come back tomorrow and hope to share with you my notes from the teaching we heard at church yesterday morning.
