Because it’s only Wednesday and so far Murphy’s Law is winning the week…
You remember Murphy’s Law right?
It was actually part of our curriculum in school at some point in my life and I totally got it…
“If anything can go wrong, it will”
Case in point…
Yes
Those are window blinds.
I was told I needed to take them down and bring them in since they were broken.
We have a Camry, by the way.
Did I mention the blind is broken?
And this was one of the easier parts of the day.
However, I am pleased to announce that Scripture works…
and that the “blessing others” assignment from FCC’s Love Where You Are Series…is golden.
Because, as stated on Tuesday’s post…I am applying that command to separate myself from grumbling and complaining from my memory verse …
and replacing it with the Blessing of Aaron we learned on Sunday at FCC.
While Scripture memorization is not always easy for me, the Blessing of Aaron found in Numbers is one I have written on my heart from past repetition.
So this week…when I want to grumble…complain…vent…basically obey Murphy’s Law kinds of thoughts…
I have been applying the blessing we practiced on Sunday…
just the way I remember it…
which might possibly be the Laura Reimer translation….
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you.
May the LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and may He give you His Peace.
Numbers 6:24-26
And let me tell you…
THAT blessing is blessing ME….
and I know that wasn’t the point….
but it redirects this frazzled mind and heart away from a meltdown and onto looking around me with Jesus eyes.
And I keep noticing that I am not the only one carrying around a proverbial “broken double wide blind”.
So for YOU today….
I pray the LORD will bless YOU and keep YOU close in His embrace.
I pray the LORD will smile a big wide smile right at YOU today and YOU will feel it to your toes.
I pray He will pour out His grace on YOU and that He will turn His beautiful face directly towards YOU and that YOU will sense Him gazing right in your sweet little eyes.
And I pray that YOU will experience down in the deepest parts of your spirit the PEACE that accompanies His love for YOU.
T.O.D.A.Y.
Now get out there and bless others, you precious thing, you <3
