I need a bolder print and more exclamation marks today <3
Oh my my!
I am so excited today. So far I have had to rewash a load of dishes because I put dirty into the load I ran last night. I have lost my cell phone multiple times. I am talking three times faster than usual and my brain is spinning faster than the words so we are all on high alert.
Last spring my friend Shelly, aka Chuckles in the Chaos (here https://www.shellydtemplin.com/page/2/) asked me if I would like to join forces and publish some of our Christmas writings in a book. I said yes, yes, yes.
I pulled up some of my favorite writings from past Decembers and began editing, as did she.
And then we did nothing. Well, we went to ball games and watched grands and did all the summer things, but nothing was said about the book idea.
Until a few weeks before Russ and I were embarking on our trip to Paris and Normandy. Shelly sent me a Marco Polo with a plan to kick into gear and “gitter’ done.”
Thanks to her daughter Tara’s techy gift, we did our thing and she did hers and voila! We have a book!
I was so excited this morning I texted a lot of friends and family and THEN I talked to Shelly and we were both chuckling in our chaos as she explained that it would probably be really good for me to SEE my own copy first to make sure everything looks right…
sigh…rookie mistake.
That being said, I have some lovely people who have already ordered and they have blessed me more than words can say.
So it is available to order on Amazon, but you may want to wait until I give you the official go. My book arrives on the 13th so stay tuned for the thumbs up…or do what one friend said, take you chances….ha!
Big thanks to Shelly for including me in this project and to Tara for her gifts of creative technology.
I want to thank Russ for supporting me, literally, every step of the way and our kids who have always cheered me on. Sarah has a spot saved on her book shelf for a loooonnnngggg time for my first book. Rachel already posted and retracted as we needed to add that it’s coming soon =0)
I want to thank my friend Jan for her editor eye as I was firing off my entries and needed someone to read through with fresh eyes.
Russ said this morning that he is always amazed how easily writing comes to me. It does and I told him it is why he has to endure my odd bursts of conversation and observations, my “maybe’s” as I create scenarios about every detail of our life and my deep descents into my own head at times.
All the. other parts of this process are insurmountable without the people God sends my way to help me.
And there would be no point to any of this if no one read it and felt something.
I am so very thankful for each and every person that is in any way connected with the Journey.
Thank you <3
